Fix a client portal link that is not working

Use this when a customer says their private portal link is inactive, expired, missing records, or showing the wrong information.

Common support paths and fixes.

Steps

  1. 1Confirm the link includes an access value in the URL.
  2. 2Check that the client portal access record is active.
  3. 3Verify the customer, property, job, and invoice belong to the same contractor account.
  4. 4Confirm the job, invoice, or equipment record is shared with the client.
  5. 5If the access record is inactive, create a fresh portal link and send it to the customer.

Tip

Never ask the customer to log into the contractor portal. Send a fresh client portal link instead.
